stop trying to sell me a lifestyle
while i've been really getting into fountain pens the past two years, i started a bullet journal in 2020 (which turned into a regular journal soon after, because i can't keep anything planner-esque to save my life), and i was a big sketchbook person before that. so you could say i am super into stationery.
i don't know if my youtube algorhythm is bad but instead of cozy journalling videos or vlogs focused on stationery, i get so many videos of how journalling changed the uploader's life or how they use a pocket notebook instead of using their phone and it's just... i've been doing this thing for years now, man, i don't need to get sold on the hobby over and over again.
replacing your screen time with writing in a notebook is nice in theory, but how? it feels like those videos mostly focus on how nice it is but not really how to achieve that. i don't get these grand ideas or thoughts to journal about every day, let alone to fill up those screen time hours, so please do tell!
also, most of these people who are trying to sell me their lifestyle don't really use good quality stationery, and what even is the point then!? i wanna see what cool stuff other people use in the hobby, not a bunch of no name notebooks which couldn't handle being even in the vicinity of fountain pen ink.
at least these videos are usually shot really well, so you get to enjoy that aspect.
