cinnamon bun's musings

i am so excited about summer holidays

instead of writing my project paper for uni, i'm researching what i'm gonna do over summer break. i wanna make a list so that i don't get bored, so here's what i've come up with so far.

i wanna go outside! i still have about ten pictures left on the film in my camera and i am a big fan of nature and building photos. the city i study in has so many cool places to go too and i've found yet another botanical garden i've not been to. i also wanna travel outside of the country. this year i don't find going by plane a smart option, so i think i'm gonna go by train instead. so far, i've come up with Budapest, Zürich and Copenhagen as possible options. However, the heat is starting to pick up with the nearing summer, so i might rethink that to some seaside location instead.

i also wanna create. a youtuber i follow called Job's journal has recently done a video on his current journalling faves in which he highlights Koriko, a solo ttrpg game about being a witch on a journey, Kiki's Delivery Service style. i did attempt exploring solo ttrpgs last summer, but due to lack of knowledge and not wanting to spend money, i picked something not beginner friendly and did not stick with it at all. Koriko seems so fun! i also found some more chill ones like Wanderhome and Fox Curio's Floating Bookshop, both of which look so adorable! i'm mainly excited to write a lot with fountain pens and to use up the plethora of inks i own. other creative endeavors include picking up watercolors which i haven't touched since Christmas probably. could be fun to paint stuff from those solo ttrpgs i mentioned!

i'm also hoping to see my friends more, go climbing with them since that's apparently a thing i do now. one of my uni friends has decided that our friend group was gonna go climbing this semester so we have at least some opportunity to see each other and it's been really really fun! these past couple of months have been my first climbing experience and i've been having a blast!

so yeah, here's to a fun summer! (and me finishing my project in time so that i don't get kicked out of uni...)
